Medical Assistant

The Practice of Dr. Bahethi a well established thriving Primary Care/ Internal Medicine Practice in Glen Burnie, Maryland is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA). The work is full-time or part-time. We are a small two provider Internal/Adult Medicine practice looking for a person willing to learn and grow with the practice. Several of our staff members have been with the practice for over 10 years.

Duties Include:

- Greeting patients, answering phones and call backs, scheduling appointments, insurance verification.
- Using an EMR, wordprocessor, spreadsheets, email, and credit card terminal.
- Cleaning and prepare exam rooms, stocking medical supplies etc.
- Record patient vitals (weight, Blood pressure, temperature etc.)
- Assist patients to the exam room and on to the exam tables.
- The ability to handle, lab samples including blood, urine, skin and bodily fluids.
- Able to or willing to learn to draw blood and perform an EKG and Spirometry.

Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent, professional schooling in Medical Assistance or other medically related field and knowledge of medical terminology a definite plus.
The ability to work between 7:30am and 6:30pm Monday thru Friday (8 hour shift).

The Practice of Dr. Bahethi provides a patient focused doctor lead practice in a family atmosphere.
